497e39180f A hypnotist cat charms a sweet young mouse femme-fatale into luring all the mice in town into his cellar, with intent of eating them. But, with his super-senses hitting on all cylinders, the super-hero mouse, Mighty Mouse, zooms in and puts an end to the dastardly scheme. A cat in a gypsy outfit has hypnotized a lady mouse, dressed her in a blonde wig and set her out to sing "Sweet Alice". Crowds of mice gather, and are taken by the cat's cohort. This dubious botheration can only be solved by Mighty Mouse.

Director Eddie Donnelly has done what he can, including an aerial flight and sticking the lady mouse on a log about to be sawn in half, but after that, this turns into the same old same old, a prospect which bored me when I was four and has only gotten even more pointless over the last half century. There's no doubt that Paul Terry's staff was putting their all into this series; it was their most financially rewarding star, after all. However, it's the same storyalways. If there ever was a series of which one might write "If you've seen one, you've seen all", this was it.
